"Gospel Music has been good to me. God has been good to me! Not only doing what I feel that God has called me to do, he has given me the opportunity to meet and become friends with many people, some I will cherish their friendship forever. Who would have ever thought a country boy from Durham, NC would have ever became personal friends with the likes of J.D. Sumner, Hovie Lister, George Younce, Bill Gaither, Jake Hess, Rosie Rozell, James Blackwood, The Big Chief, and many many more of my heros of Gospel Music. Through his relationship with J. D. Sumner, he became friends with Elvis. I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity and allowing me to continue to do what I love so much! None of which could I have done without God's grace."
