Linwood is founder, manager/owner of The Spokesmen and the only original member.  Originally the lead singer, he now sings bass and is master of ceremonies for the group on all their personal appearances. He is also the manager of the group and handles all the business responsibilities, bookings, promotions and webmaster of the quartets webpage.

Linwood has two children, Tammy and David and four grandchildren, Cody, Kyle, Courtnee and Nathan.

Sumner, he became friends with Elvis. I thank God everyday for giving me the opportunity and allowing me to continue to do what I love so much! None of which could I have done without God's grace."
